THE TEACHER

Jane Perryman has been teaching Iyengar yoga for 38 years and holds the Level 3 qualification. She has attended the institute in Pune to study with BKS Iyengar.

The studio is on the first floor of a 16th century timber framed domestic house. It is fully equipped and classes are small (maximum 11), ensuring plenty of individual guidance. We practise on an empty stomach (leave an hour after a light snack) and work in bare feet and loose or stretchy clothing to allow movement.

Lorraine Phillips a regular student says…
“Yoga provides me with a sense of well-being, I have far more awareness of my physical body and a better understanding of both strengths & weakness. I have a better physique which improves with continued practice, which I know would be even better if I worked harder! Yoga practice calms my mind: improves my sleep pattern and energy levels. I find myself enthusing about the benefits to family & friends. Yoga practice has changed my life for the better. And I have made some great new friends too”
